Location is nice, hotel staff is friendly, Wireless LAN is available for free, room is enough large, cost is not very expensive
A little bit noisy when many people walk around the hotel, especially the night on the weekend. It would be better if there is a fridge in the room.
A lovely hotel that is great value for money. The location was fantastic, as was breakfast.
The choice of foods at breakfast was excellent. Loved the fresh fruit salad and excellent ham. The bread made excellent crunchy toast so I ate too much. The staff replenished promptly as items were used up. The laptop with free broadband access for the use of guests in reception was very useful once I found the @ key.
Whilst not the fault of the hotel I found the noise of people walking past (talking and laughing) until 2am very disturbing as I tried to sleep. Our room overlooked the street and we wanted the window open for some fresh air. If I stayed again I would ask for a room in a quieter situation.
It was in a good location for the harbour and it had free wifi which most hotels do in Norway it seems, also I was delayed in my meetings and the hotel contacted me to confirm that I was checking out and when I clarified the delay they arranged a late checkout to 2pm with no extra cost which I was very please with, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is in a back street so print off a map to ensure you don't miss it as I did and in the summer the harbour is closed to buses so it is a 500 metre walk with your luggage to the hotel. I would like to point out that there is no cooling in the rooms so on warm days and nights in the summer it gets very warm in the room, when I asked about air conditioning they said they normally don't have a need for it as mostly they are trying to keep warm! There is a window you can open but it is daylight until nearly midnight so not great for sleeping but that is not the hotels fault, I would stay there again in the winter.
havly hotel was a clean and comfortable stay & good breakfast 4 types of bread to choose from, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and cooked food +cereal.. the reception staff member when we stayed over night (sunday 1st may) was so helpful and friendly he gave us directions and told us about the area and good places to visit, he made us feel welcome, the hotel location is close to restaurants and shops, a very memorable stay.
lean, comfortable room, great location. Great value with breakfast and internet included.
Bit small for long stay business travel. No meals outside of breakfast.
they let me check in 8 a.m.
Everything good with the hotel.
Several young dunk naked (!) (I think they have sauna next to the hotel building) people shouting late at night at the yard. Had to phone to reception - that helped.
Location is good, easy to stroll down the main attractions in the city. Staff are extremely helpful.
Not very much value for money, but Norway is an expensive country. What can I say!
The location was great and the hotel was more than adequate. The breakfast room was especially nice.
Computer speed was very slow. Ventilation could have been better.
The hotel is very well conected from the airport and very close to all Stavanger atractions. No need to rent a car.
Very poor breakfast.
Very conveniently placed in middle of Stavanger, with good clean rooms and adequate services--giving good value for money--and very helpful and nice staff
Could have had a bit more comfotable lounge area
Comfortable room, not very big, but not small. Nice breakfast, good location. Very helpfull staff.
No parking - it is very inconveniently.
Price comparisons favourable, suitable location, unobtrusive but helpful staff, totally fit for the purpose, good breakfast
we arrived very late at night and were treated very curtiously and friendly by the late night staff. It took only seconds to have us shown to our room and we were offered a well needed cup of tea. We enjoyed the breakfast and friendly directions to where we wanted to go. A welcome umbrella from the hotel also helped when it rained. We had to wait longer for our next trip to get going and the staff of Best Wesyern Hotel was most helpful in securing our bagage for the time while we waited. We returned again to the hotel after a two week boat trip and received the same welcome reception. On arriving in Chiswick in London, we were surprised to se a Best Western Hotel there also. As we have need to return to Chiswick in a year or so, we will most certainly consider their accommodation offer at the time. We give this Hotel a very good reverence. (Maybe just offer a larger breakfast selection, as it was the same for all five days that we were there)
I believe that the mattresses were brandnew. I had to put the mattress on the floor as the base and mattress was too soft for my back. (Not your fault, but I had to make a plan as I needed a more firm mattress)
